Looking to purchase a 10-22 ..trying to decide a synthetic or a wood..

According to the Ruger site they weigh the same ..but I think that is wrong .surely the synthetic is lighter....and I'm afraid the synthetic maybe noisy while beating in the bush .. I'd sorta like the durability of the synthetic and the possible weight reduction ..
Which do you fellows perfer ???

What very small difference in weight certainly shouldn't enough to make it a make-or-break choice killer. Would be but a few ounces if that - clearly not enough to matter.
Personally, I choose the stock that fits the style of the build and not on weight. Haven't found any too heavy yet.

I took the birch off of mine in favor of this look ..... didn't notice any difference in weight ...... these are plenty durable.

Where did you find the "boat paddle" stock ?

Found it for sale in the classified section of this forum.

You'd be amazed at how light the wood stocks are. I purchased a DSP walnut stock for my Tac Sol build and I was surprised that it was actually a little lighter than my original birch stock.

The Hogues are heavier, and the synthetic on my Takedown is much lighter than wood.
