Probably not discontinued, as they were pretty popular. Ruger is most likely just re-engineering them for the "new" 10/22 lineup.

With a quick release (not folding) stock, it could fit into a normal briefcase with room for a suppressor but just how many legal(?) users would find this feature necessary?

I could see it on a 9mm or something like that, but a 22LR? I agree, kinda pointless.

I might be interested in the 8 inch bbl non take down model. It would be like my other 1022s just a play toy. Depends on the real price they sell for. I could care less about the folding stock. I would prefer a fixed stock or just adjustable length.

Still gotta ink your fingertips, so it isn't as enticing as some may think.

Some of the newer pistol braces aren't much different than a proper stock, and you don't have to deal with the SBR BS

I’ll take one these over that all day long. Just picked this up today. Pre warning, walnut stock, aluminum butt plate, original mag, gently used for $225 plus $25 shipping.

This just might be my new daily shooter

I understand your comment but (and I'm not promoting them) Silencer Shop kiosk doesn't leave ink stained fingers. AND you only have to submit once(?) unless, like me your finger prints become seriously altered.

No thanks- my TD with the Magpul X-22 stock is plenty short for me, even with a can.

I found a fellow that does it for 115$. Will post pics! I wanted the mini 14 folding stock that Samson mfg made but just discontinued it. The reason I joined this forum yesterday was to find a trigger assembly to match the rest of the metal on the take down.

Comparing a 'braced' Charger or a 10/22 SBR to a take-down isn't a real comparison. A braced Charger/SBR is ALWAYS READY right out of the case or rack. A takedown 10/22 IS NOT.

Its a carbon fiber Volquartsen barrel. I found it used on ebay with the scope.
