10/22 receiver and action differences.

Can anyone tell me what are the differences (if any) between the receivers and actions Ruger installs in their 10/22 carbines vs. the receivers and actions in their 10/22 bull barrel Target model? Since the Target trigger pull is lighter than the stock Carbine, I am curious what the other internal mods may be. My rifle is a 1986 carbine that had its "lawyer trigger" smoothed by a gunsmith and I have since installed a Ruger hammer forged stiainless target barrel, Rimfire Technologies V Block Barrel Stabilizer and Machined Screw Combo,, extended magazine release and a Boyds laminated pistol grip stock. It shoots well (probably better than I do) and looks good but I wonder if its as good as the Target from the factory.Any info and/or opinions would be appreciated.

All the receivers are the same across the entire model series. Supposedly the triggers on the T models have the 'target trigger". While not great, it's still better than the ones on the other models. The hammer is a different part # for the T models as is the sear.
Never taken mine apart for a 1:1 comparison visually but guessing the T simply gets a bit of finer polishing.

As for comparing what you have to a factory T model...all depends. With the barrel change it's essentially no different now as the new V-block and screws do nothing for performance really. If it shoots as well as you need it to, that's all that really matters. The factory barrel has it's limit.

BH73 -- Thanks for the info.. You mention that the factory target barrel has its limits, but at my limited skill level a superior barrel would probably be a waste of $. Your thoughts?
