Ok hope I can explain this properly. I just bought a 10/22 and noticed that when the gun tilts left or right there is a noise. I believe it's one of the 3 "pins" that you pop out with a punch when you break it down to clean it.

When I took the stock off the receiver the big one just fell/slid right out the other 2 needed the lightest tap. My 50th anniversary doesn't make this noise...is it common on the wood stock model. I don't think it will hurt anything I can think of? Any info is appreciated.

Doesn't hurt a thing. Slap a piece of scotch tape over the pin ends on each side of the housing if you want to.
Those pins are not designed to be tight in the holes, so some movement is normal and within design intent.

If it indeed is one of your trigger housing pins that's drifting right or left, you might consider getting correct diameter pins. Those pins are quite hard, so trying to hammer flats on 'em might require a very large hammer.
