Ordered a 10-22 model 1230 tactical but after reading some reviews, I'm may reconsider. There's a lot of chatter that the gun doesn’t shoot that well at 100 yards, seems to hold 2-3 moa. I'm expecting 1.5-2 moa at least with no mods other than my scope. The gun will be used just as a plinker. So, what do you think....should I cancel my order and chose a different 10-22 or stick out the model 1230.

I had to look up the model 1230. The tactical version with bipod and Hogue stock?

This one?

I can't guarantee accuracy to 100 yards, but I don't think you will be disappointed in a 10/22, as it sounds like this is your first, right?

I've only got two 10/22s so I don't have as much experience as others here. I do have the target model with the bull barrel, it is more far more accurate than I am capable of shooting, even at 100 yards.

It takes not only an accurate rifle but ideal conditions for 1.5" groups at 100 yards with a 22.
I do think you will find the tactical version very accurate for you, especially since it will just be a plinker.
