10/22+DeltaPoint

Anyone using a Leupold DeltaPoint mounted on the Ruger 10/22.

Is this combination a good fit?
Which DeltaPoint....3.5 or 7.5MOA?
Since these Reflex sights are expensive is another less expensive Brand of good enough quality?

I have a 7.5 MOA DeltaPoint on a SR556 and it is very very accurate. I used the top of the delta for the zeroed aim point. That is much more accurate than a round dot of any size. I have a Burris Fast Fire III on a Ruger Mk III Hunter. At about half the price it is acceptable. If cost is not a concern then I would go with the DeltaPoint. I will admit that the DeltaPoint is a little overkill for a 10-22.

I ended up buying a Pentex Gameseeker mini dot for under $100.

I'll give the sight a try tommorrow.....

Took my 10 year old Grandson shooting and he really liked the 10/22 and Red Dot scope combination. Easy adjustment, worked great.

Now I'll find out if the Pentex holds-up!

I have a Burris Fast Fire III on a Ruger Mk III Hunter. At about half the price it is acceptable. If cost is not a concern then I would go with the DeltaPoint. I will admit that the DeltaPoint is a little overkill for a 10-22.

Hey JET - I'm not trying to hijack this post; however, I noticed your comment on having a Fast Fire III mounted on a MKIII Hunter. I was getting ready to post that question. How did you mount it? That is, did you use the Ruger supplied Weaver scope mount and then the Burris to the Weaver mount? I notice Burris has a mount for the MKIII, but I can't figure out if it is mounted directly to the MKIII or has to be used with the scope mount. Did you get the 3 or 8 MOA version.

I have Trijicon RMR's mounted on two FA M83's but I didn't want to spend quite that much money for something to go on my MKIII.

Any help would certainly be appreciated.

The Burris mount goes in the rear sight slot.

I have a custom mount that was made by a gunsmith that can be found on Rimfirecentral.com. His handle is SGW Gunsmith and his lgs name is Sarona Gun Works. I do not want to say too much about another site while on this one, but if you need more info just PM me.
