10/22 Compact stock - can the channel go .920?

Just wondering if anyone has opened up the barrel channel on one of the 10/22 compact model stocks to take a .920 barrel?

Those stocks are small. But maybe since the forearm doesn't really support the barrel, the opened channel might be okay, especially with one of the laminated stocks?

Thanks.

Might fit.... but the modification, if needed, is easy.... all you do is take a 1" wood dowel and wrap it with some sand paper and work the front section of the foregrip down a bit.... it is not really that hard to do and you really don't have to sand down that much

If you look at how a factory barrel is tapered only the front 3rd or so of the fore grip needs to be sanded.... even though a 10/22 barrel can be free floating, I personally like a band on the front. What I used when converting to a .920 barrel, and it's not as tacky looking as it sounds, is a black nylon wire tie.

I’ve opened the barrel channel of a hardwood Compact stock for a 17” GM Heavy Taper. I backed sandpaper wrapping it around an old otherwise worthless standard carbine barrel which along with varying diameter with the number of layers helped a bunch in matching up the contours of the channel and new barrel. A straight .920” barrel could be accommodated but the wood running along beside the barrel gonna be thin.
