I noticed that when I retract the bolt there seems to be two stages: an early easy stage, and the a second stage about half through the bolt pull where it is signficantly stiffer. Is this normal? If not, how do I fix this so that the spring pull is a consistent weight all of the way back?

PS: I have taken out the bolt, cleaned the spring, etc.

Thanks.

What you may be feeling in the "second stage" is cocking the hammer. That actually requires significantly more effort than just compressing the bolt spring.

Makes perfect sense. Thanks. I am new to the gun and am used to cocking the spring on my SR9 (stricker fired).
