I am looking for a 10/22 base between 5-6" in length to accomadate a scope and proper eye relief. Most Weaver style ones are 4.5" and this is a little short for the scope I have. After looking on the internet I have found very little. Does anyone have a solution that will not break the bank? Thanks

do you mean then that the scope base will extend out over the receiver , and thus over the barrel ? What kknd of scope do you have that won't fit on the normal 10/22 scope base ?

I THINK the common Weaver T09 base, which extends forward of the receiver, is long enough to meet your needs. Apparently the actual length is some sort of state secret, as I can't find it anywhere on the internet, and don't feel like digging though my piles of stuff to find one to measure for you.

If you need more length out front, the Volquartsen extended picatinny rail is excellent and offers a little extra height to boot.

My Weaver T09 base measures 4.75" and Weaver's part no. is 48201 for the black gloss version.

I have a Mueller 8-32. Yes, a 5-6" long base would extend out over the front of the receiver and thus over the barrel a little. I have it mounted right now and can barely get rid of the black ring on the inside of the scope whil elooking through it. If the scope were moved a little more forward, It would eliminate the black ring totally and give me some room to work.

Yup, now I can visualize what you mean, I agree. Sometimes the 10/22 seems a bit short. Offset rings might've the solution as I bet you probably don't want a custom stock with a longer length of pull.

My TO-9 extends about 5/8 inch forward of the receiver. Used it because it's thinner than the supplied Ruger base. I can peep under my 3-7 X 20 Tasco and use the irons.
