I have an opportunity to pick up a new #1V in 6.5 creedmore. Anyone have any likes or dislikes on this caliber?? Is it a good hunting round on deer and smaller game?? Accuracy??
Thanks.

I don't have personal experience, other than talking to people who do, and it's all good. The 1V in 6.5 Creedmore is at the top of my wish list.

luv2hunt62,

You know the downsides -- the Vs are heavy, there aren't many commercial rounds available, .270s do much the same thing as a normal huniting rifle-- but that round is high on any inherent accuracy list and was intended for long range competitions. Shooting out of a blind at critters @ 300-400 + yards is its niche in hunting. I'd go for it just as a collectible and occassional field gun. They are scarce. Nice wood and price would really tip the balance.

How's the 7mag doing?

The 7 mag is fine--I may try to work in a trade, and if I get the 6'5 Ill be selling my Liberty year 22-250 #1B
Thanks or your input
