Just picked up from the framers today. A signed Limited Edition print of ”The Red Barn” painting by James Triggs, number 262 of 1500. This is where it all began and was where #600 was born, Oct 1949.

Btw, anyone out there have print #600 ;) .

I've seen pictures of that print several times but this is the first time I really looked closely at it. Is the pistol in the print a fairly accurate representation of the prototype pistol or an early one? I don't find an actual picture of it in my meager collection of reference material.

Yes, that is an accurate copy of the first prototype. John Dougan’s book, Ruger Pistols and Revovers, has a two page spread with photos of the original prototype.

I have been trying to find a copy of that print for years with no luck, they don’t seem to be available for sale that I can find.

Thank you, I was lucky. I posted on ROCS that I was looking for a picture of the red barn to display with my red eagle, and along with pictures the Triggs print came into the conversation. A member then reached out to me about a Triggs print for which I am very grateful.
