Visited my local pawn shop this morning. Found 2 revolvers waiting there for me.
A 44mag s&w ss 8 3/8"
Bbl. Model 629-1. Also, a New model Super Blackhawk 44mag ss 5 1/2" Bbl. Ser# 86-256XX. Needless to say they both rode home with me in the car. Some days are much better than others. Because this is a Ruger Forum, I'll only post pics of the Ruger. I am curious about the grips. I am pretty sure they are not factory, but they are extremely comfortable. I think they are there to stay.

Always a great day when you get two new guns! And a couple of good ones too. Oh, and we don't mind seeing pictures of guns even though they aren't Rugers.:)

Nice finds! And yes, I like to look at Smith & Wesson revolvers also. We had a pawn shop in town for about 30 years, got to know the owner quite well. He had a special interest in guns and I picked up a number of them there. Stopped in about every day. He retired and closed his shop about 5 years ago. My wallet is happier but I'm not.

No idea as to the maker. You can take them off to see if there is any markings on the inside.
But they look more like a custom set. I haven't seen anything like them anywhere.
