I have a MKIV 22/45. I bought the gun used and have had fail to feed and fail to eject with various ammo. The slide is very stiff compared to a MKII standard. Has anyone else had jams and issues with a MKIV?

No, I have not had any problems with either of my pair MK IV's.

What brands of ammo?

I have excellent results using Blazer, which is among the least expensive to boot.

I wonder if the previous owner mis-assembled something.

Need more specific information about the problem(s), condition/cleanliness, actual type/brand of ammo.
Generally speaking there's no real difference between 'Mark' and 22/45 versions and not much between the series 4 vs 2.

As noted,, it's hard to help if we don't have good details to try & offer assistance.

But often,, poor feeding & jamming can be as simple as a bad magazine. Ejection can be due to a dirty gun, a broken extractor, or such.

Mine functioned at 100% since day 1. It has digested everything I've fed it. I clean it after every use.

This..I would get some "green springs" from TandemKross, and some of their red followers as well. at worst you gain an extra round per mag, at best you fix your feed issue..and get an extra round in the mag. ;)

I have 2 MKIV's and have very little trouble with FTF or FTE. I do shoot CCI Mini Mags and Blazer high velocity. I have also found that light oil on the bolt helps. Usually when the bolt is getting dry is when I will have feed issues.

You might want to give it a good cleaning and a proper oiling, sounds like maybe the recoil spring may need to be changed being use you probably have no idea of how much its been shot or if its been properly maintained.I do tend to run my 22”s a little wet not like my 1911”s but not as dry as others it works for me.

this sounds about right the cleaning jumped into my head immediate, maybe the sell hardly did the cleaning and it just need a little lubrication, try that out first before any panic.
