Took this bit of info from an outdoor website that I frequent. It was posted yesterday. I did look on Gallery of Guns. None available. I suppose gunbroker would have some and used of course. I'm not selling mine.
"Was just over on the Ruger site about an hour ago...and no 77MKII GSRs...what!!!....call...whole line has been discontinued as of the end of 2025...no announcement....no reason."
I suppose the American series is selling more units than the GSR most likely.
When I was looking for a general purpose bolt action rifle, I was looking at several calibers--308 was one of them, I was looking for a detachable magazine--with possibility of 10 rounds. I was looking for a rifle with sights and scope options. Barrel length was not overly important but a threaded barrel was. Not too much weight but not a feather weight. Stock I was not picky about so long as it fit. Price affordable to me. I did notice that over time the GSR price was inching up a bit much---but what else hasn't. I'll be keeping mine for the long haul--it works for me.
