I must be looking at mine wrong. There is this long loopy thing underneath that you have to work back and forth to make it work...

Marlin 99m1, 9 round tube magazine. Had six, down to only two. Daughters and Grandkids.
Talo did make a Ruger 10/22 m1 with walnut stock.

Sure. It has a thingy that goes back and forth and a long skinny part and the curvy thing that you pull.
If a person was a newbie and saw the following pics on the links, they could possibly mistake the Glenfield 75 for a 10/22. I notice that there seems to be two different magazine tube lengths and one magazine fed.

I owned a Glenfield 75. It it had a short barrel and mag tube. Sure didn't look like a 10/22. Back when I got Marlin semis for $150 max, fixed them up, then had no use to keep them. I think it was one of these. One of the blonde ones was free off THF and had severely damaged finish on the receiver, the barrel was rusty, the tube was bent and wouldn't feed, and the wrist of the stock was cracked. I had $80 it when I sold it completely refinished. All within the last decade. Exception is I gave $400 for the pair of M60SS rifles from the same seller. One was raffled off for a 501(c)(3) and I sold the other.

I also have a Glenfield 75C......no way you could mistake it for a 1022......my Rem 597 some folks have mistaken for a 1022. I can see how that can happen.

That's a long barrel short tube Clinton era M60. My long barrel has the long tube and the LSBHO only built a few years. Mine looks new and is the only 60 I have left.

I worked with a guy that sold me his fathers guns. He was not gun savvy at all. Nothing to special, a Mossberg 12ga bolt action, Savage 340a 30-30 bolt action, but he kept telling me his dads favorite was a tube fed 1022 and the a cheap 22 revolver. The tube fed 1022 turned out to be a Marlin Model 60, but the cheap revolver was a 3 screw Single Six.
