You will be very impressed with the quality and fit of RW Gripframes. They do need a little fitting and I like to knock off the square edges, best to have a Ruger Gripframe for reference of how they "soften" some of the edges. Take your time, and expect a lot of on & off…
This is a Super Hunter grip frame, same size as the one you referenced but with the round trigger guard vs the DRAGOON Squared Guard, I like the look of the Dragoon but it busts my knuckles in the bigger calibers, thus I stick to it on the 22-32's.
Pictured here is a 50th Anniversary Flattop (44 Mag) that originally had a thinner smaller Colt size XR3, too small for me, so I Supered it. Hunter Grip Frame and added a Super Hammer.
I also followed the rear curve of the hammer, and took off the plow flair at the bottom of the back strap (straightened) to emulate the XR3.

Ronnie has been turning out some EXCELLENT grip frames,, as well as other parts many of us want, need, or prefer. Top quality & offerings not available from the factory.
I have a pair of his "Bradshaw Bisley" g/f's, a set of his grips, and some sights & such.

I had this one done by turnbull a few years ago, and the guy in charge of my build called me and asked where I got the brass grip frame, since he was very impressed with the quality & craftsmanship. I told him RW grip frames!!

Ronnie makes a plethora of styles- something to fit every hand. It’s because of his gripframes that I went “Ruger Crazy” a couple years back. I have about 5 of his gripframes and another 2 on the way. I really like the feel of the “Dealer”, but I’m excited to see what the newest one feels like once I get it. It’s a Super Blackhawk with a .300 longer grip frame and a Bisley trigger guard.

No, not recessed. I think it’s the angle of the camera that makes it appear tighter than it is. It’s a NM .44SPCL.

I helped talk him into the Biznana frame that duplicates the BFR bisley so I could use a consistent grip between the Ruger and MRI guns. But it still looked funny, so we came up with the Hager BB5 he named after me. Many of the frames are named after the creators handles from the Single Actions forum.
If you have an idea for a frame or hammer style, run it past him. He may like it. I'm waiting for the Redhawk Bisley hammer he's working on now.

You know, I had to chuckle at this. I really love the wood laminates, because they kinda remind me of Damascus steel.
It just goes to show that perspective is everything.

Laminated wood grips on guns or knives is actually a premium material. Very stable very durable relatively attractive.
It reminds me of a topographical map, the way you can see the contours.

I am no fan of laminate on guns but calling it plywood is just an insult.
While they may not BE plywood I have to say that 'laminated' grips have the same 'character' as plywood and circuses. See one, then you have seen them all.

My 3" Python came with laminated grips and I think that was an insult to the firearm. First thing I did was put some Herrett Shooting Stars on it.
The only gun I liked laminated wood on was my Remington 350 Mag carbine. You know, the Buck Rogers looking one.

My biggest problem with laminated stocks is the weight. This little .223 is gorgeous, but way too heavy.
I for one prefer the Ruger laminated grips to any other. I recently replaced a set of Chig's grips with Ruger grips.

Sure sounds like how "laminate" is made.

Shot a 375 H & H with a 2-6x scope (Sold it because I HATED the narrow stock), took several elk with a scoped 300 Win mag (and numerous mule deer). Carried it while guiding on wild hogs. Shot everything from elk down to ground squirrels with it. Took one 7x8 Tule elk with a 338 and even had a 1-4x on my 458 Win mag for a while. Together with the 350, I never got bopped!

Put the rest of the definition. Most dictionaries would put the usage at the end of the definition when talking about a material such as plywood. Doing so for both words would reveal the difference and prove the comment was an intentional insult.
Don't forget, I don't like laminate stocks or grips either.
