I don't carry the Kershaw Blackout I mentioned in my earlier post (4 years ago). I damaged the blade. I found out Kershaw would replace the blade for $10 as long as the knife wasn't a second. Then I learned the knife I found was a second. So I bought a Kershaw Link. I really like the convenience of being able to open & close a knife one handed.
While it seldom gets carried I also have a Case Sodbuster Jr. It is for times that I am dressed in a way that does not lend itself to having a knife clipped on my pocket.

Today I carried a buck 119 auto elite, an old Benchmade and an Emerson CQC7.
I just about always carry a buck 110 of some kind. I have a Bark River City Knife I carry right often. A 110 is hard to beat for an everyday knife. I know they are not fancy and tac to cool but they work and have been for a long time. The ones I use are either carbon steel or S30V blades.

I had a nice collection as a kid. The Barlow was always my favorite. Eventually they were all lost or broken so I treated myself to a Case Mid-folding Hunter. I loved that knife but lost it in a park playing tag with my kids. It was perfect for everything. The bone had a red patina from using it to dress a deer when I forgot my Buck 110.
Now I feel naked if I don't have my Leatherman on me. I use it literally daily.

Very nice guys and gals! So many choices out there for sure. Have become addicted in my later years and have started a small collection. Right now looking for a fixed blade for EDC. Hoping to see the Sog Trident FX sometime soon.

Good chioice! Carried the Trident tanto for years and bought the "improved" Trident AT-XR early this year. Hefty in the pocket with the steel liners added but lock up is suppose to be tougher. D-2 steel should be enough.

Never had a pocket knife until recently, but my first knife, I bought when in the Boy Scouts when we were about to go on the 75 mi. Silver Moccassin hike. I bought a full tang Colonial Knife. Simple enough. Never really had to use it, so gave it to my oldest son as a memento.
Only in my old age have I acquired a couple of various knives. Throwing Knives sets, unknown? Buck 110, EDC Barrage, Hunting Nimravius and a Topps Air marshall.

I guess I must fall into that younger group that uses a pocket clip knife. I never go anywhere without one. Like Leroy Jethro Gibbs says, Rule #9.
I've disliked heavy stuff hanging in the bottom of a pocket, change, keys or knives. So I use a clip knife in my back right pocket, easy to get to with strong hand and it must be sharp and open quickly with one hand. Also ride low in the pocket and the clip tight so it won't snag sitting down. And I use it many times a day.
Oh, I also have regular pocket knives from Dad and Grandad, Case, Barlow, Swiss, butterfly from overseas duty, and even my orange switchblade jump knife with the paracord cutter.
Have one also the twin of 'eveled' showed above.
Right now I'm carrying this one but am hoping for a SOG or Spyderco this Christmas
Lowe's finest. I loose them too often to carry anything too nice.

Right now I am carrying a "Jaguar" folding pocket knife that fits nicely in the back pocket of my jeans. It locks in the open position, and has a "thumb button" on the top of the blade to allow you to apply pressure when needed.

The two I carry that I just shared in the knife section of the forum:

I have shown the Ken Onion CRKT before. The Spyderco Delica is one I used to keep at my desk at work just in case I forgot to pack a knife in and needed one, but working from home and not going in I carry it quite a bit. I love that it is small enough for pocket carry while being big enough to be a serious working knife and I do prefer lock blades in knives.
