I have a 1990 made 77rsi in 250 savage that has a black recoil pad. Wondering why that is. Have been told that it's not correct, but it hasn't been messed with. Any info appreciated.

I have a tang safety RSI in 250 sav, it shoots 110 accubonds extremely well. I need to sell it to purchase a gun smithing lathe, but offers are too low for such a rare and neat rifle. I guess it will be one of my favorite safe queens. Mine has the black recoil pad. Woody

I just clammed on to an unfired 250 77RSI for a paltry sum. I have learned that it was shipped in 1987. I need some good loads for Hornady 75 grainers, and for Nosler accubond 110's and Hornady roundnose 117's. This is going to be a sweetheart. Woody
