I have a Ruger Magnum in .375 H&H.
It is heavy. The felt recoil of this gun (not the cartridge, the gun) is pretty bad. I definitely agree with shortening the stock and putting a good recoil pad on it. I have fired the .375 in lighter rifles that had less felt recoil.
Mine is probably the...
I think a prudent man would leave the area rather than shoot.
No sense in being charged with murder/manslaughter/homicide when the costume comes off and there is a dead prankster inside.
Hi larry. I would definitely be interested.
Funny thing is my first Mini that I bought in the late 80s had the same issue. I got tired of the sloppy sight and sold the gun off. This gun however was willed to me so I plan on keeping it. I hate to give up a MOA or more just in aperature...
I have a new 186 series Mini (never been shot).
The rear sight aperature has a little side-to-side play, and substantial vertical play within the rear sight assembly.
Is there any common fix for this? Or a replacement piece?
I figure I could smash an edge of the aperature piece to take up...
For you I would suggest crying once and springing for the Sig 226 in .40.
However, I doubt most wifes could reliably and effectively work the slide against the stout recoil spring.
What the pictures show are "cratered" primers. All factory ammo fired in this gun so far does this (Independence, Blazer Brass, and S&B).
Cratered primers show metal that after firing has flowed back into the firing pin hole. Additionally, some of these primers show that the metal that has...
I just bought what appeared to be an unfired P89 (totally stock) and shot it for the first time yesterday.
It is a 315-9XXX number.
This is factory S&B ammo. The primers appear perfectly normal when shot in my other 9's
Blazer Brass and Independence, both new factory loads, do the same...
All optics do on a Mini is get me frosted.
I would go with irons. On a better note, the sight radius on the Mini is really good.... a couple inches longer than on 20" AR if I remember right.
