    I recently got one from AIM Surplus. I believe it to be a French battlefield pickup. Check out the proofmark. ... a little scruffy but shoots well enough (typical fixed-sight shot location for me -- a little low, a little left)

    So, we are basically talking about a defensive weapon in bear/big-cat country? If it has to be a revolver, I like the idea of a reliable double-action .357 with heavy bullets. For the lefty who was accidentally ejecting the mag on the Glock, just grind enough of the head off the mag-button...

    OK. Here is the 10-shot Accuracy International SINGLE-STACK mag. Looks somewhat different than the photo on the Ruger web site, and definitely different than the HK-looking diagram, but external proportions are close enough to give the benefit of the doubt.

    I guess if the barrel is long enough, you get those kinds of numbers in the comparison. I'm not seeing it in a barrel in the 5-inch range. Maybe I'm using the wrong powder for my study.
