    ruger p 90 special edition

FWIW, I paid about $435 for my blued P90( New) back 2008. It has been a great gun and currently sits in my nightstand. It has fed every type ammo I put in it, including several brands of premium HP, usually 230gr. So far, I haven't needed any replacement parts, but as others have said, they can...

    P-97

See if your recoil spring is larger on one end than the other. If so, it should be installed with the larger end of the spring toward the muzzle of the gun.

    P-90 slide spring tension.

I never handled a 4506, so I can't compare the two. However, some people find it easier to rack the slide if they manually cock the hammer first. This eliminates the extra resistance of the hammer spring.

Glad to help. While the recoil springs are sill easy to find, It doesn't seem anyone has the guide rods in stock. Good luck!

    Price check, P90 decock pistol......

Those aluminum guide rods can get pretty scratched up. It can be particularly bad if someone installs the recoil spring backwards(larger end of the spring should go toward the muzzle end of the slide). You might be able to smooth it out with some fine grit sandpaper. As long as it doesn't...

    P85 Ruger in 9mm

All of the the guns you listed have a reputation for being durable and reliable. However, Ruger did have a recall for the early model P85s. You can find all the information about that on their website. http://www.ruger.com/safety/announcements.html With current prices being what they are...

    p345 misfire

It could be the ammo, but I don't think Federal is known for using hard primers. Do you know the original owner? Sometimes people install a lighter weight hammer spring to improve the trigger pull. Since the gun is used, you could try installing a new factory spring to see if that corrects the...

    SR45!

The M&P holds 10rds. Don't know about the other comparable guns. I like the SR series, but I can barely afford to feed my 8rd. P90 these days. I still wouldn't mind owning an SR9C though. :)

    Loose safety lever

Thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like I don't have to worry about anything falling off, so I won't bother with sending it in. Thnks for the explanation carbonyl.

    Loose safety lever

I have a Ruger P90, safety model. When the safety is off (in the fire position) the safety levers seem a little loose and they rattle, more so on the left side. When the safety is engaged, the levers don’t rattle at all. Is this normal? It might have always done this, but I never noticed it...

P90, but the P97 is a close second.

    P90 Trigger Bar assembly issue

From what I can see, mine appears to be positioned the same way as yours.

    P97 problem

While you have it apart, you might want to clean it and make sure the slide rails are properly lubed, just in case that is part of the problem. Let us know if you get it straightened out.

    P97 problem

Did you buy the gun new, or used? Does it happen with both magazines? Check your recoil spring. If one end of the spring is larger than the other, make sure the larger end is toward the muzzle end of the gun. Are you using factory loads? If so, does this happen with different brands of ammo...
