So how in the heck to I remove the blade on the rear sight of an old Ruger 3 Screw. Have a new one ready to go in but can not get the old one out. Must not be holding my tongue right or something. Removed the screw that adjusts the sight for azimuth but the sight comes part way out and...
This has to do with the small black blade with the notch in it for Ruger single action revolvers with an adjustable rear sight. Is that blade the same other than width of the notch for all Ruger Single actions, i.e. Blackhawk flattops, Blackhawk 3 screws, new model Blackhawks, and 32 single...
I appreciate your comments about lighter springs. At this point I am a long way over the cliff on lighter springs. I just competed in the national championship of our sport, for the 14th time. There were roughly 1000 shooters present, each shooting two single action revolvers in the...
I do not believe Jerry Miculek shoots any single action Rugers. He may shoot his S&W double action revolvers in single action mode occasionally tho.
I think I have the springs sorta figured out. First it appears that all Blackhawks use the same main/hammer spring, which I will attempt to get...
Well I purchased a pair of these guns, serial numbers only 100 apart. These were almost 100% in every respect. Paid $1100 for the pair, no tax, no FFL as I bought them from a neighbor friend. Serial numbers showed 1971. The prior owner is also doing a bit of leather work for me.
I really want a reduced hammer spring and trigger spring. I want a hammer spring that will set off Federal primers (no other harder primers needed) and a trigger spring that will give me a 30 oz trigger pull. I do not want a strong hammer fall. the gun is quite clean. I do know exactly what...
I am looking for a spring kit for a 1971 Blackhawk 3 Screw. I want a reduced weight hammer spring and trigger spring. Which trigger and main spring springs do I need to get? Where can I get them for the best price?
Did the trigger spring design change beween 1971 and 1972 or??
Just found one manufactured in 1971 in 357, 4 3/4 inch barrel in 100% condition, not a mark on the gun. No blueing wear anywhere. What would something like this be worth these days? Have not purchased or sold one in several years.
Based on your protest, just placed an order for over $500 with Cabelas for outdoor wear, some cleaning equipment, new boots, and some boat electronics. Hope others do the same.
Do you really believe Cabelas is not putting all the ammo they can get on their shelves? If you do, you are a fool. It is very reasonable the only 22 ammo that can stay on the shelf is expensive Olympic quality ammo.
I was in the Cabelas Olympia Wa store a couple days ago. They had lots of ammo but not some popular pistol ammo or 22s. They did have small pistol primers but no shotgun primers. Looks like ammo supply might be starting to catch up with buyers hoarding.
