    Ruger SR1911 Recoil Spring question

    I have no way of measuring, but my new unfired SR1911 is WAY harder to cycle than my Springield G.I. model.(low round count)

    I am not sure, but I think ruger invented the transfer bar due to a law suit because a guy carried a single action with spur firing pin with 6 rounds and dropped it and it went off. (hammer on primer situation) But I have carried condition 2, and have no problem cocking.(or un-cocking)...

    Got my Mini-14 fixed, now may have another problem...

    It might be a good coyote gun if you can get them into 50 yard shooting distance. But at 100 yards, it might not strike flesh. (mini 14 tactical 581 series)

    Problem with my Mini-14

    Pull action from stock and see if there is a buffer installed on the action spring at the rear. If so, it MAY be too thick not allowing the action to cycle fully to the rear. Just a thought. MArk

    Rev'd - Has anyone shot a mini 14 tactical?

    I put a limbsaver barrel deresonator on mine, 1 inch from gas block with rounded portion forward and it cut group sizes in half, at least cold it did. I haven't shot it hot yet to compare. Will update when I do. K8VF
