Price check on a MK II

I paid way more for my SS 5.5 NIB 1984 Mark II. How much more? The perfect amount. At the end of the day you should assign the value of the object based on how much you want it and how much you can afford. I really wanted exactly what I got, so I was willing to pay a little extra. It was...

my new 22/45 slab side is inaccurate

In my limited experience it is usually the person. I had the same issue and I asked one of the guys at the range to try my mark II for a couple of magazines. I was convinced I had the same issue except top right. All of my nice groupings were way off target. Turned out I was consistently...

    Mark II pistol Manual---arrived--yay

I would say any or all of the above. Although you might want to befriend some of the salty dogs on this site, they are likely to have extras lying around. Cannot imagine what you would pay, I have one I do not use, but want to keep so I have a complete set with box etc. (I actually go to the...

    10/22 Target Tactical

You may want to check the forums, I believe there is a post from a few people with that model that say they are not happy with the accuracy. Otherwise, it should be the same rifle with a nicer stock, no target trigger *NOT SURE ABOUT THAT* and no bipod. In general, I think that for a 22 you will...

    10/22 Target Tactical

I believe the MSRP is $555, but I paid more than a hundred less than that for mine.

    10/22 Target Tactical

I have one, only been able to put about 50 rounds through. The Hogue stock is nice but fairly standard. The trigger is pretty crisp and set around 2.5lb, but could still be improved. The hammer forged barrel is nice, so far groups are pretty tight at 50yds. The bipod is also pretty good. On...

    Bipartisan Ruger Charger....

Wow. You may want to read up on history. its an icon because its cracked. Was rung for the continental congress and then almost never again. Kept cracking over and over. Really an example of american manufacturing. With regard to the white comment, I thought this passage was most worthy: "The...

    New Tactical Toy...:-)

Just bought one of those myself, did a couple of hours at the range. Real nice, crisp right out of the box. I was thinking of building one up, but this is so much easier right now. I realize the tacticool is just that, but it is a nice rifle, fun and accurate. Draws attention at the range too...

    cci mini mag

Dont have a MK3, have the MK2, but at my range they only sell minimag for rented guns (MK1,2,3) and I use it almost exclusively for my Mk2. Never had any issues what so ever (coming up on 5K rounds through). No jams, no stovepipes. Clean my gun completely after each firing though, so not much...

A compromise on Mk I, II, III cleaning debate?

Really? Speed strip? It takes me one minute tops, and that is while I am watching TV. How much faster can it get? Do you have a link for this? I have visited the VQ site but never heard of this. Thanks!

A compromise on Mk I, II, III cleaning debate?

Yeah, it was the whole plastic malet thing that bugged me. Did it a couple of times and monitored how much diret was in the trigger/grip assembly and it was never all that much, so this will be my technique with the occasional annual full breakdown.

A compromise on Mk I, II, III cleaning debate?

A lot has been written about the difficulty of reassembling a mark II (or III etc) because the bolt pin alignment has to be perfect. After reading tons and studying my disassembled mark II, here is how I clean: 1. Remove mainspring and bolt 2. Keep receiver and barrel attached to grip frame...

    Sighting in my new MKII

Thanks all, much appreciated. I am located in Baltimore, MD. Hawker, thanks so much. Old knowledge is awesome, I will grab a copy of the book and no doubt have to make many trips to the range to try it out. With regard to the printed targets, I want to use these, but I want to know that the...

    Sighting in my new MKII

Hi all, I just purchased a NIB MKII 5.5 Bull/Target which was made in 1985. Its my perfect first gun and I am thrilled with the purchase. So far I have shot seven hundred rounds, and I see consistent groupings about an inch and a half low and two inches left of bull. I have also shot this same...

    Store - cocked or no?

Yeah, I said that at the range on sunday and the guys there all jumped down my throat. From their point of view, no matter who made the gun or what they say, never dry fire a rim fire pistol. The guy went on to explain that after several hundred thousand rounds as a rental, their MKII was...
