    NEW SP101 4" .357 Mag

An extended more detailed version of my point/thoughts exactly.

    NEW SP101 4" .357 Mag

They should have just added the sights to the 3" version IMHO. My 3 inch is one of my favorite revolvers... adding another inch to the barrel doesn't do much for me but I do like the sights.

New M77/.357 - edit to say didn't see gramps post

I like this rifle and would LOVE to see one in .357 Max. The .357 Magnum can equal the 30-30 out to 100 yards or so.... Buffalo Bore has a good load for close range whitetail hunting. A short light "do it all rifle" should sell well. The quality of some lever guns has gone way down hill...

Ruger is indeed using MIM parts

You have a very good eye if you can see the porosity and shrinkage in a part... I usually have to measure and test and I have worked with this stuff for several decades. MIM is nothing like pot metal.. not even close. Forged parts are usually very good, but they can have flaws too...

Ruger is indeed using MIM parts

That isn't a "shrinkage pit" , that is an area where the mold did not fill completely and it may have not filled for a number of reasons... none of which is hard to fix. They did not "cover" the "shrinkage pit" with their eagle logo.... that eagle logo is there because it was molded into the...

Ruger is indeed using MIM parts

Because making MIM parts is faster, provides closer tolerances, better densities, less machining, etc. etc. OR, for the same reasons the automotive industry left cast connecting rods etc. for PM connecting rods. MIM is an ADVANCEMENT in producing metal parts. Ya'all will really get to like it...

Ruger is indeed using MIM parts

This is the same response I posted in another thread with some additions: There is nothing wrong with MIM parts..... nothing at all. Like with anything that is manufactured, proper QC is a must and yes, forged, cast, machined, PM and MIM parts can and do fail. MIM is an advancement on PM (...

What did they do to my SP101 trigger design???

There is nothing wrong with MIM parts..... nothing at all. Like with anything that is manufactured, proper QC is a must and yes, forged, cast, machined, PM and MIM parts can and do fail. MIM is an advancement on PM ( powered metal ) technology, it has fantastic benefits and can eliminate the...

    RUGER 77/357

Probably but I was thinking about the magazine length and loading heavy bullets. Would the/a .357 Magnum Magazine be long enough for the Max.??

    RUGER 77/357

Along with a 77/.357, Ruger should really do it right and build a 77/.357 Max. I've got Marlin lever rifles for the .357 Magnum but I would be ALL OVER a 77/.357 Max. bolt rifle and know several other people that would be too.

    New Model Vaquero

Buffalo Bore makes this claim for all their heavy .357 loads: "Our 357 mag. ammo adds more power than ever before to the 357 mag. This ammo is safe to shoot in ANY all steel 357 revolver - this includes J frames. This ammo is no harder on your gun than any other normal 357 ammo. Please don't...

SP101 Trijicon or Meprolight?!?!? Pics Please!

Don't know what you mean " doesn't come with an external circle?? The sight pictured is very close to the Ruger factory sights in all regards. It's not tilted forward ... it sets flush with the barrel just like the factory sight... It may be the picture.... the sight is TAPERED ... higher in...

SP101 Trijicon or Meprolight?!?!? Pics Please!

I like the trijicon on my SP. The one I used IS NOT the one they sell for the SP, it is one they sell for a different model but it has the same profile for barrel fitment and is the same height.... fits perfect. I looked at the one "made" for the SP 101 and new this one would be better. It...

    So I was thinking...

Yes, you quoted their website: The 12/22™ ~ Specifications Frame Style: Square Notch Rear and Square Front Blade ( LOOK HERE) Sights: Square Notch Rear, Square Front Blade ( AND HERE) SEE anything?? Maybe a typo?? It appears they printed the sight style twice. Did you notice that?? Did...
