My Mini 30 does ok with steel but is flawless with brass cased ammo. Stay with factory mags.

Save yourself the hassle and get a 300BLK. Only about 100 ft lb less energy than x39 at muzzle and will kill pigs just the same. I've been down that road and it wasn't worth it. If you've gotta have 7.62x39 get a Mini 30, AK, SKS, or bolt gun.

Pull bolt back, hit release, rotate bolt counterclockwise till rear of bolt angle will give more room and then remove. Put it back in the same way. No room for my Dewey bore/chamber guide. Because the cheek piece obstructs entry some my stainless rods are too stiff but my .22 cal nylon coated...

Incorrect. 1/2x36 TPI has always been the standard thread for 9mm. 1/2x28 has recently gained popularity because of the use of sound suppressors.

While the 30-30 is a great cartridge the 7.62x39 is close enough.

Awesome! Didn't see or read it mentioned whether it has last round bolt hold open feature ?? My sub2000 doesn't either so it's not a deal breaker but just curious.
