    limited production #1

Late follow-up. The ASSRA Ruger #1 has a Douglass XX barrel, and it is number 82 of 100. I purchased it for $495.00 total. In 32-40 Win. no forarm. just now getting set up to reload, have not worked with it yet. Mounted a 2" unertl on it. Bought 500 new winchester brass for $170.00 total...

    14-3

Nice revolver. Congratulations on coming across a 'sheeple.' Always amazes me when someone 'wants a gun out of the house.' They are the first to lay down and roll over for the home invading thug and then whine about being a victim.

    limited production #1

IF it is in fact an ASSRA Ruger #1, about what should one expect it to sell for at auction? Or be worth? I would bet a dollar to a dime that the barrel on it is a Badger Barrel, just judging by the configuration. It looks exaxtly like the barrel on my Browning Creedmoore High Wall .45-90. The...

    limited production #1

Photo on auction site sucks. All you could tell is that it IS a Ruger #1 action with a half round / half octogon barrel that, based on my Lyman Centennial, appears to be about 30 inches long. It is a right side view, that is pointed to right. Appears to NOT have a forearm.

    limited production #1

Well, if I knew how I would post a photo of the Ruger #1 number 87 of 100 produced by Ruger. But that probably would not really show enough to make any judgment on. Really hate to cancel going to the LAST Pioneer Gun Club cast bullet match AND the open house with Savage, Nikon, & Hornady in...

    limited production #1

Up for sale at a local auction at Adrain Optimist Club in Missouri is a Ruger #! advertised as number 82 or 100. It has a half round / half octgaon barrel that appears to be 30 inches long and either in the white or stainless. an a-typical forearm, scope blocks, and no sights. No mention of...

    Why no 460 S & W ?

    pecker, you got that right. I know, I bought a .460 & a .500 S&W. Didn't help. But then they compliment the 4 Ruger and 2 S&W .44 Magnums.

    How about this ROA

I made the mistake of purchasing a ROA that 'looked' a whole lot better than that in the Gun Broker photos for $290.00. The nipples were different size flash holes (powder flash in the face) and 3 were frozen in the cylinder. The barrel was badly pitted also. It was rough, but not nearly so as...

    Old Model Blackhawk .30 Carbine

I currently have a New Model .30 Carbine Blackhawk. Just recently started shooting gas check cast bullets with excellent results. When I read about Old Model .30 Carbine Blackhawks I want to cry. I had one serial #143, NO PREFEX, just 143. Paid $125.00 in 1975 and sold it in 1976 for $250.00...

    Old Army, Ruger Fix

Also, just a possibility, maby, perhaps, RUGER has new cylinders on hand because they plan on bringing back the Old Army and production is currently underway. I read where a guy called and spoke with a RUGER rep. and the rep answered rether 'tight lipped' to questions regarding re-introduction...

Not For Sale! (and, with apologies, not a Ruger)

Brass for the 7.65X54 Argentine Mauser can be made from .30-06 brass very easy. Get the forming die from RCBS & sizing wax, set the trim die flush tight with the shell holder, VERY lightly lube the .30-06 case, size in case forming die, cut off the part sticking out, trim & deburr case to proper...

    Max cylinder capacity of ROA?

Lefty, There are LOTS of ROA's out there. If you shop you can get still get them priced in the neighborhood of $450.00. I have recently bought 2 stainless and 1 blue for $432.00, $400.00, and $290.00. High luster polish stainless w/faux ivory grips, stainless, and blue - respectivly. But the...

    Old Army, Ruger Fix

Jim, don't doubt you at all. HOWEVER, consider RUGER, like any dedicated customer service company would hold a certain number of parts in inventory specifically for customer service in shop repairs. All I know is what 'Tina' in RUGER customer service told me. Also, would not be suprised if...

    Cast Bullets

There is a very old statement of profound truth: WANT A JOB DONE RIGHT, DO IT YOURSELF. In other words, cast your own. You can get started for less than $100.00 and lead can be purchased from your local metal recycle business. You would be amazed at what people will sell as scrap. I have...
