Use a 1.5mm pin punch for 1/16" pins. It gives you a few thousandths of clearance so the pin punch doesn't stick in the hole.

"And..... the thread title said "best". Many would consider that to be the Tripp Cobra." Best 1911 mags, IMHO, are Tripps. That's what I use for competition. For most folks just going to the range to shoot paper, less expensive mags will probably work just fine.

I don't have a Commander to measure, but looking at pics on Rugers website of both size pistols side by side, they "appear" the same. Also looking at Ruger's spec sheets for both pistols the sights are called out the same. Hope this helps.

I'll admit to having two lightweight (aluminum frame) 1911's in addition to my other 1911's. But a POLYMER (plastic) 1911, not for me.

The front is a dovetail dia .330" X 65 degree angle. The rear is a standard Novak Lo Mount which has a dovetail dia .500" X 65 degree angle plus the flat behind the dovetail. Lots of sights available that will work.

I have never fired a Sig 1911. Seems the folks I shoot Wild Bunch with have Colts - Springfields-STI-Ruger-Remington-RIA. Never seen anyone shooting a Sig. Just recently saw someone with a Dan Wesson. Not knocking them at all, just don't have any experience with them. I do love my Sig P938.

Everyone should have at least one Colt 1911.

Q-tip with Hoppes #9. Blast with nonchlorinated brake cleaner. Blast with air. Spray with MP. Wipe down. Lube with Gun Butter.

This is just my opinion, which is worth exactly what you paid for it, but that rail makes that one UGLY 1911.
