Not sure what lesson your looking for, but my tactical mini 14 doesn't care if I'm shooting .223 or 5.56. Everytime I pull the trigger it goes bang and loads again till the mag. is empty. Dave

Anyone shooting Wolf Ammo in a Mini14. I've shoot some and haven't noticed any problems. I've just run a bore snake thru the barrel to clean it, should I be doing more to clean it? Thanks, Dave

Take it back to where you bought and either get another one (inspected) or get your money back. Dave

Better stick to correct factory mags, I've tried none factory mags in other brands and they never work very good. Dave

I'd go anywhere from $350 to $450. I guess the real answer is how good a friend do you have. I've got one like it and mine shoots fine. If your friend will let you shoot it - get some 240 grain ammo and shoot it some. Dave

.223 ammo hard to find - I guess homeland security, etc. is buying it up.
