Ones that are all ready loaded I just put in my tumbler a while (the whole cartrage) un- loaded guess you would loose the lube. Really don't hurt anything but appearance, olsherm says put lube on then to clean them up a bit.

Never have needed any lube with my .500 S&W cartridges with carbide dies, and they size easy as a 38SPL. in my Lyman must be a Lee thing needing lube? Why buy carbide than lube? sounds like you guys need a better press also, no insault intended.
