Picked up a new vaquero 45 colt and took her to the range today with some handloads 250 grain cast bullets over 8 grs Unique. Out of 10 rounds only 6 fired ( a few took 2nd hits). Not much of the firing pln protrudes through the fire wall. Sending a 3 day old gun back to the factory is not a happy or pleasant thought.

Typically shoot three screw Blackhawks and never had this problem. all opinion's and suggestions are welcome.
Appreciate your time…….Lou

I know that you know this buff4star, BUT please make extra sure that the cylinder pin is pushed ALL THE WAY in so it makes contact with the transfer bar....Sometimes, they "feel" all the way in, but when you play with them, they go that extra 1/16" and solve the problem you describe....

Here is the spring I replaced, it is a $10 item at Brownells. This totally solved my misfire problem
