Ruger #1 Safety?

Howdy.

Was cleaning the about 2009 built #1 in .223 today and messed with the two trigger screws a bit.

Screwed the forward screw in until the trigger would not pull, then backed out enough until the hammer
was dropping, then turned another half turn or a bit more.

Then I noticed after cleaning that the Safety would not go ON!

Worked lever several times. Dry fired several times. Turned both screws both up and down then re-set
the forward screw as above. STILL No Safety!!

This is one I can't figure out.......................... so did something come disconnected inside?

Beats me but there's several #1 guys here so hopefully one or more will come along soon!

*** news flash:

Pulled it back out of vault.
Safety would slide back but not stay.
So held safely button back with thumb and cycled action. While PULLING on trigger, I slid safely Forward. The hammer dropped and it re-set itself. Working fine now!!
