As ususal, SGW Gunsmith gives very good advice and pictures to boot, especially the part about replacing a split roll pin firing pin stop with a solid steel one. If a person dry-fires his Ruger alot, he must assume the risk of damage. Myself, I dry-fire my Ruger quite a bit for practice, but I also routinely check the condition of the firing pin and firing pin stop pin for any damage.

However, if any damage happens, my bad and shame on me. We all have to take responsibility for our own actions.
