My SuperBlackHawk barrel slugged at .4295 to .430 and the cyl. measured .4310-.4315 with gage pins.
I use the Oregon Trail 240gr SWC at a .431 dia and have never had any leading problems.
I would think that the plated bullets should move slower then the very hard lead LaserCasts.
I use 9.0 gr of Unique and it is a nise easy to shoot load that I can shoot all day long.
For hotter loads I use 19.5 gr of Accurate No.9 and a middle load I use 15.5gr Accurate no.7.
All are fun to shoot with no leading

Fit is everything. Slug your barrel and cylinder throats, easy to do (google "how to slug a barrel" and you'll get a whole slew of hits). I have recorded all these deminsions for my .44s (5 of them) and when I shoot the correct size for my guns, I get virturaly no leading to speak of. http://www.lasc.us/Brennan_2-1_MeasuringGunDimensions.htm lots of excellent info here.
