I'm not a handgun hunter but I will say I've lost a LOT of confidence in rifle caliber 'mono' hunting bullets over the past 2 years.

We hunters all seem to want the "perfect" combination of things to assure the best outcome of a clean one shot kill. Chasing perfection is one of the things that often leads to development of better stuff.

I personally have very little experience with mono metal bullets. (Too cheap to buy any,, as I prefer to cast most of my bullets.) But if they work, they work. But just isolating just one thing such as the bullet as the defining factor,, fails to present the potential of all the other variables.
But to see an in-depth study & experimentation, with results is a great way to test things to help make decisions about what to choose for specific intended purposes.
