Yours is one of the second group of 150 non engraved(obviously) that followed the first group of 100 engraved RSSE that Mr Tyler offered at $2500 each,,,,,,,,. the value noted seems realistic. To clarify, this model gun was a special buid for Mr Tyler and the build schedule reportedly had to be 250. According to my notes, only the first 100 were scheduled for engraving.

I bought one new from Lipsey's in 2019 and their dealer price was $759.90, so the $700 gun seems like a great deal.

I remember choosing a specific serial number and being told that was the gun I would get, but the one that showed up was a different number. Like the OP gun, mine also has unfinished grips with the black eagles sunken very deep, as if they were leaving plenty of extra wood in case they were to be carved. So I suspect the original intent was to engrave them all and possibly do fancy carving on some of the grips. I have noticed that some were sent with silver eagles like the linked gun.
