I have been a fan of 22 co stingers in my ruger 1022 from the day they came out . They are around $6.57 per 50 .They are about 1650 fps on average with the 32 grain bullet . They are not super accurate but they shoot around 1.25 inches at 50 yards out of my 1022 .
I just bought a Winchester model 275 pump 22 win mag .I wanted a ruger model 96 but missed that boat when they came out .The 22 win mag ammo is $11 for 50 for cci 40 grain hp.They run around 1800 fps out of my Winchester .Thats not that much faster than the stingers 6.Its not super accurate at all either around 2 inch groups at 50 yards .I have shot lots of animals with the stingers up to coyotes .I use the stingers in my pistols also .I have only shot a few rabbits with the 22 mag and it takes their heads off .I heard lots of trappers in Alaska where I lived loved 22 mag rifles for trapping .Theg said wolves and wolverines were super tough to kill .I am wondering for normal use is the 22 mag really worth it .The ammo is so high is the problem .I can reload 223 for less than the 22 mag .I just wondered if anyone else thought of this .If the 22 mag was a 1/2 inch shooter I would be first in line but my groups have be r. 4 inches at 100 yards not so great .
