Beautiful! The color goes real good with the stainless steel. The ones I made for my 1911 came out green.

What is "]Buckeye Burl" ?

The wood harvested from a burl growing on a buckeye tree.

Burls can form on most any species of trees.

A burl is a large woody, rounded swelling, usually found on a tree trunk. "Burl wood" is prized for its unusual grain pattern. The grain of the wood swirls around each bud trace, forming interesting patterns in the wood.
