The brassie isn't mine. But I did see a copy of the letter. August 1972. I also gave this info to Chad,, to update his records. Apparently an early shipped brassie.

Interesting. It shipped in August,, yet falls into the "September" batch.

A nice gentleman in Ohio has it. We'd discussed it last year at OGCA/ROCS. I strongly urged him to get the letter. He came to see me and let me know it lettered. I saw the copy of the letter & saw it was in August.

Happened a lot. Ruger's shipping was not very strictly monitored, and the stuff just got shipped when it floated to the top of the pile. ;)

Yep, all "three-screw" Old Model .357 Blackhawks. Just post here, the serial number and barrel length. That's all that's required in The List . . . no names or other personal data is ever included. If it has a 9mm cylinder, include that info as well, and If it has been "lettered" it's good info for the sake of documentation of ship date and any notable features such as a brass grip frame, or having had the transfer bar "safety conversion".

If you are not comfortable posting the info here publicly, a PM -- "conversation" -- to me will do nicely. :)
Mine is a .357 Mag OM (3 screw) Blackhawk from 1965, with a 6 1/2" barrel, S/N 83030.

Bought it new in 1968.
Still unconverted.

"Creeping dementia rears its head all too often these days.
At least it allows me to think I'm sleeping with a different woman every night."

That made me bust out laughing.

Well, I bought it new in '68, then gifted it to my son on his 50th birthday in 2018. Thought it was fitting since it was made the same year he was.
Gave him the San Antonio Alamo Leatherworks rig that I bought in the same year
