10/22 set screws

Just got a 10/22.
Trying to take the set screws out but Ruger has them in so tight I'm stripping the heads.
Any suggestions on how to get them out before I destroy them completely.

Once you've stripped the heads I'd guess a drill.
Otherwise, depending on which screw, maybe heat and a good quality properly sized screwdriver.

If your referring to the screws that hold the scope base on,,, a hairdryer/ careful heat gun, solder gun tip on the head of the screw, etc., to heat up the lock tight. that should not have been used.🙄
In addition,,, Proper sized screw driver, tapping it gently, as your counter clockwise.
