On the one 10-22 that I still use the stud with quick detachable sling swivels, I use a thin shim washer so I didn't have to cinch down overly tight on the barrel/stock band screw. It keeps the stud from swiveling and contacting the stock wood.
On the other two 10-22s that are for field use, I leave the slings attached and use the original early style sling loops. These two shown are for the buttstock stud. The matching top loops for the barrel band have a wider space and go around the two ends of the barrel band screw and is captured, which is why the screws are extra long on both ends:
