I just p/u a new lcp gen2(not the lcp2) from academy for 203 otd. As I usually do I cleaned it all out including the extractor. I did not ck the spring when I took it out. I noticed one end of the extractor spring is ground flat. I presume that end goes against the plunger? That's the way I re-installed and it's extracting snap caps ok but want to make sure. Any info appreciated. Nice pistol by the way.

I looked there. None that I found went into detail about spring orientation.

Brownells sells the extractor spring and theirs are ground flat on both ends.
If I were you I would put the ground flat end of your spring against the exdtractor plunger.

Thanks for the info. That's what I figured and did. Seems to be ok cycling snap caps. Odd that the factory one is only ground on one end. Must have been made on a Monday. LOL.
