I recently purchased a stainless Ruger Security Six with a 4" barrel..When doing a search, I found a 2" stainless barrel for the same handgun. Since I'm not a gunsmith, is it possible to have one replace the 4" barrel with the 2" ? Thanks from the bluegrassstate

would not be too hard with the proper frame jig and barrel wrench...so as to NOT damage either the cylinder frame , nor the barrel, we hate to see pipe wrench and plier marks all o ver any barrel, or a cracked cylinder frame....................go ahead, get the barrel, then find a good smith who is set up to do this work.......if its off of another gun , of the SAME model, should match up fairly well..its when the barrel is brand new ,never fitted, that NEEDS to be done, and done right 8)

When you find an experienced 'smith, require a tested-fire target and factory ammo detail. You'll enjoy your new snubbie a bit more.
