    SP101 Hallucination

Wow, just Wow. I am going to hug my all stainless SP when I get home today. How could someone do such a thing to a great gun. I am sure it was done as additional Zombie protection but I will take my chances.

    SP101 wood grips from Thailand

I have a set for mine. They are decent quality and fit pretty well except for a small ridge on the top where the web of your hand goes, no big deal for the price. I do not use them because I just found them a little small for my taste and arthritic hands. They give kind of a 2 1/2 finger grip...

    SR 22 feeding failures

I use high velocity in mine. I believe the gun is designed to run ammo in that range. I have tried hyper velocity (1500 fps rated) and the gun jams. I have not tried standard velocity as I believe that is not intended for semi-autos. A Semi needs ammo in a certain range to cycle the slide properly.

    SP 101 22lr. grips & trigger question

Thinking of getting a used but second generation 22lr. SP 101. Will the numerous grips I have for my .357 SP 101 fit the 22? Also I know the triggers are very heavy on these and need to be for ignition but is it really that bad? I would probably shoot mostly S/A anyway. thanks

    XS big dot sights

I think there great for a self defense gun. I had them on a Glock and had to remove because of my eyes. I would see a double line in the rear unless I put on my reading glasses. On my SP101 I have a Meprolight front which is big enough for me to see well and pick up quickly.

    GECO .357 Magnum - Wiley Clapp GP100

I recently bought 2 boxes of Geco .357 and tried it in my fairly new SP101. The cases dropped in freely but stuck badly after being fired, I only tried 10 rounds before giving up and I am now planning on trying them in my older GP100 to see if they work any better. Other than the baldy stuck...

    SP 101 bobbed hammer

I researched this before I did it and from what I have been able to find out Ruger will not sell you a hammer unless you send the gun and they convert it to DAO and you don't get your old part back. Some gun parts places sell hammers but they seem to be forever out of stock.. That would be...

    SP 101 bobbed hammer

So true this SP101 and my GP100 are pretty much never sell guns for me. Also if anyone was curious i put 150 rounds through it today and it was flawless with its new hammer job. Two different brand reloads .38 special and some WWB .38's. Also some federal .38 spcl., 10 rounds Geco .357...

    SP 101 bobbed hammer

I don't know. If you put your finger in front of the hammer and let it down it's really no different than thumbing a spur down, probably safer. I would have no reason to cock the hammer if I was not going to fire the gun anyway. If I were ever to sell it maybe I would grind the single...

    SP 101 bobbed hammer

I can still cock mine by pulling the trigger slightly and getting a finger under the hammer. Same thing for letting it down . I realy like that fact and it is much easier than it sounds. Obviously I would not do it loaded unless I was intending to fire the gun.t

    SP 101 bobbed hammer

Tomorrow will be the function test, fingers crossed but from what I have been able to research it should not be a problem. I got tired of snagging on clothes and got the die grinder out tonight. Sanded and polished it came out ok.
