    LCR .38 CCW Ammo Chrono

I recently bought a used .38 LCR and got lucky as not only was the price good, but it looks mint and shoots POA. :) I owned a .357 LCR back when they came out and it shot as well, but I sold it to someone who wanted it badly. Regardless, a friend of mine is a big USPSA competitor who has the...

    Why hammer fired?

Glocks are the most reliable pistol on Earth as well as a host of other striker fired handguns, e.g., SIG P320, H&K VP9, etc. I have shot boatloads of ammo through all types of handguns and by far striker fired are the most reliable with problems only caused by bad ammo 99.99% of the time...

    My GP100 44 arrived with 2 issues

Calipers are next to useless for this type of measurement: http://www.grantcunningham.com/2006/08/measuring-chamber-throats-calipers-vs-pin-gages/

    Ruger American pistols.

I wish Ruger the best in this endeavor as the market wants polymer striker fired guns. That's where the money is. Instead of people complaining about bad triggers on polymer guns I suggest it's the Indian & not the arrow. A 'glass rod' 1911 trigger makes pansies out of many shooters. I once...

    Understanding Safety's and 45's

First of all, NO semi-auto has a 100% supported chamber. Those are called revolvers. The Glock 'Kaboom' issue has always been an ammo issue & not a gun issue. Federal changed their headstamp due to it years ago in the 90's due to a bad lot of ammo.

LC9s Pro without external safety and mag disconnect

These are gonna sell like ballbats in a riot and moreso if Glock does not intro a single stack 9mm at 2015 SHOT in a few weeks. Perhaps Ruger knows something we don't and is getting the jump on Glock(?).

    My "New" GP100 "Boot" Grips

It's a SE Asian Rosewood and the particles are harmful as many have a reaction to Rosewood so use a respirator & long sleeves. Also, it is an "oily" wood so it needs to be varnished quickly after cutting to prevent "bleeding". Read up on finishing oily woods before you attempt this.

    Alaskan 44 Mag SD ammo?

Honestly, for self defense I would use either the Corbon 200 gr. DPX (SCHP) or the Win. Silvertip, but both in .44 Special. Far more controllable in DA fire which is how you should be practicing with it.

    Revolver Reliability

There was another (little known today) reason as well: http://www.grantcunningham.com/blog_files/75f11fe4e235da7c69cabf94daa7dbd9-932.html

Before: After whittling down to fit my hand: Originally, these were bought off Ebay from Thailand.

    Revolver Reliability

Many times FNG's will "vapor lock" a revolver when firing DA only mode as they don't let the trigger all the way out to reset whereas an OEM Ruger would lock up tighter than a nun's knickers.

Bisley Grip on mid-size frame 44 special flatt- tell me more

IMO the people who like the Bisley style grip usually have larger hands. I have shot both Colts & Rugers in that config. and for me they were worthless. I like the original SAA style grip far better. YMMV.

    Current evaluation of Smith 642

Based upon what? I am hesitant to take others' opinions of their "problems" with new guns on the Internet as gospel as many are people totally unfamiliar with guns and blame manufacturers for their own shortcomings. S&W, as with any manuf., is going to have a lemon now & then. It's just the law...
