I am using a LARGE (72x30x16) truck toolbox for ammo and gun storage in a closet in my home. I always use dessicant in my cabinet, etc. but I wondered if any one has used ZeRust capsules or poly bags for gun storage? Their website shows that they have poly bags made specifically for rifle storage. It is explained that the zerust product is a vapor which coats all of the metal and prevents rust. Any info wouild be appreciated.

If you use dessicant, it has to be re-charged (usually in the oven) on a regular basis. The best thing is a small safe heater (15 watts) that keeps the air circulating. Especially important if you live in a humid area. Keep 'em oiled up! Also, anti-rust paper is a great product. Same stuff that is used to wrap auto parts like wheel bearings.
