went for a drive around the farm on Saturday morning and came across this stallion. He stood quite still and gave me the opportunity to take a nice photograph.

Nice photo, I went to Tanzania in 07 but there were no zebras, I wanted to photograph them and not shot one, I think they are beautiful. Dr.C

Kudu, which species of zebra do you have? And do you or the locals eat them? (They certainly LOOK "good enough to eat" as we say).

We have the Burchell's zebra. One can use the meat in either salami or cabanossi. I am not a big fan thereof but plenty of guys use the meat. I guess if you really know how to make good salami or cabanossi it would taste ok :) Zebra meat does not taste good 'as is', but at least there are ways to get around that. What I like most is to hear their high pitched barks in the late afternoon. The sound they make travels quite a distance.

I appreciate the comments.
