I just acquired a Ruger Blackhawk from 1971 minus any finish to speak of. However, upon removing the Hogue monogrip from the gun it became apparent the owner had ground the grip frame to make it thinner and shorter. I would like to buy an aluminum frame with very little finish to replace it with.
As always thanks in advance for the help,

All responses replied to and appreciated. What I am looking for is a frame with a lot of finish wear. It also needs to be a new model XRN-3RED frame.
I am still on the hunt,
Thanks, Sergeant206

The OP is a little off on the date of his gun. A New Model was not made until after 1973. So 1971 is incorrect for what he has.
And yes,, a NM uses a NXR3-RED OR a XRN-3RED g/f.
And I believe he wants to get a g/f with a well worn finish to match up what the gun currently has.
And I'm guessing he wants it cheap.

You can get a NM g/f & strip the finish fairly easily. And yes,, a worn one will often cost less than a minty looking one. But they still will cost $40-$60 average.

Is this what you are looking for? It is a XRN 3RED The finish is buffed and polished.

Contender is correct, this is a NM serial of 32-971XX. I am trying to buy the frame just as Contender described. The end result will be a grip with as much wear as the gun has now but accepts original grips. The frame on it now will not take Ruger grips without modifying them. I was incorrect in assuming there were grip frame readers had replaced due to the wear/scratches just lying around. Price is not so much a concern as the final outcome of this.
Fox Mike with all that said, please send me a price and payment preference and I can end this quest.
Thank you everyone for the assistance,
Sergeant206
