XR3 red & brass

Was fighting a losing battle to tame the XR3 red
(short of rubber grips). This mod seems to take
the edge off. The hole is not for a screw. It was
there when I started on the brass. Silicone holds
the brass to the butt. Have a hundred rds. on it
so far.

Yup. An old flattopped and shortened Super.
Went from the XR3 to an XR3 Red, then the
brass.

My "shorty" .44 has some brass as well. I like shooting 280 gr. "hard cast" bullets over a healthy dose of SR 4759. My "small paws" love this thing.....

The angle of the image makes it appear as though the grip frame is oversized. Not so, it has been properly fitted. The head of the Base Pin has been "gold plated" to match the grip frame.

will work up some loads to take more advantage
of the caliber's potential.

Have you tried the Bisley, oldies? I love the way the ol' plow handle looks and feels (points like the "hand of God" some would say), but there's no denying, at least for me, the Bisley is the ticket for HEAVY recoiling loads in the six-guns.

Did try the Bistleys. Have one in 41 mag (3 screw). Haven't
had the $$$ to invest in another just yet. And yes, they do
go a long way in reducing recoil.
