So we went out Friday looking at all the local garage and estate sales. Being it was a Friday a work day there was not a lot of other people buying stuff, but quite a few people selling stuff. I bought a lot of good quality American hand tools. One place had a lot of gun related stuff including a pair of factory Colt Bisley grips for $3.00, but they were in very poor condition, so I passed on them. He also had many ammo cans for sale. Most were fairly modern, but he had one WW2--50 cal side opening box for $12.00 in almost new condition. On the top it was stamped REJECT. I looked it all over and found it has never had the rubber lid seal installed in it. This box has the letters TBC embossed in the side above the flaming bomb. Also this box has the main body made from one piece of metal that is formed and welded on one end unlike some of my other boxes that are made from multi pieces and welded on all corners. The inside is like new. Does anybody make a replacement lid seal for this or should I leave it as found. I am thinking I should leave it as found. It will live in the house, so I see to reason to change it.
